Is the point (4,11) a solution to the following system of equations? How do you know?
y=2x+14
y=3x−5

No because when you plug in the ordered pair to either equation it doesn’t work. Y=2x+14 would go to 11=2(4)+14 and you would get 11=22 which is wrong. Again with y=3x-5 would be 11=3(4)-5; 11=7 which is wrong again.
