If your function is this: [tex]y= \sqrt{x-3} [/tex], then you find the domain by setting the radicand, the "x-3", greater than or equal to 0.  [tex]x-3 \geq 0[/tex] so [tex]x \geq 3[/tex].  Therefore, the domain is all values of x that are greater than or equal to 3.
