A midsegment is half as long as the one it's parallel to.

2. x = 16/2 = 8

3. y+4 = 6
  y = 2

4. z/2 = 15/2
  z = 15

5. (5/2)x + 4 = (6x +4)/2
  2 = x/2
  x = 4 . . . . . . matches selection b.
