That statement is true

Let's say that person A is good at baking bread but terrible at cooking Stew, and person B is good at cooking stew but terrible at baking bread. If they don't trade,  they could only have one good food and one terrible food. But, if trade exist, they could focus in producing what they good at and obtain 2 good foods instead.
