the sum of two consecutive integers is -195. what are the two integers?

So adding on to the comment, we have;

(a) + (a + 1) = -195

Which then becomes:

2a + 1 =-195

Subtracting 1 on both sides

2a = -196

Dividing both sides by 2:

a= -98.

Therefore, the two consecutive integers are -98 and -97.
