Explanation:

When some of the water evaporates then it means that molecules of water has absorbed heat from the surroundings and liquid state of water turns into vapour state.

Therefore, a cooling effect is observed because heat of surrounding molecules has decrease due to absorbtion by water molecules.

Hence, temperature will decrease as cooling effect is observed.
