Carson is concerned about the use of synthetic pesticides. Her book describes the harmful effects of pesticides on the environment and is highly credited for helping launch the environmental movement. She was a biologist, ecologist and American divulger. With her research she showed the devastating effects of pesticides and DDT on wildlife.
