In Latin America, the main US goal in the Cold War was to implement capitalism, democracy and the defense of private property and free enterprise, while the U.S.S.R. Wanted to implement socialism and principles as the end of large private property, economic equality (a society without rich and poor) and a strong state able to guarantee the basic needs of all citizens.
