If the area of a triangle is 40 inches squared and the length of the base is 8inches, what is the height of the triangle?(show formula&work)

area of traingle=40in.sq

lenght of base=8 in

height =?

we know that

area of traingle=1/2bh

40=1/2*8h

40=4h

h=40/4

h=10 in
