Meridians are lines of longitude on the surface of the earth. The distance between meridians is the "MINIMUM" (actually zero '0') is at the North Pole and the South Pole. This is where all meridians meet.

Just so you do not become confused, the place where the distance between meridians is <<maximum>> is at the equator.
