y-y1 = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) {x-x1}

now we have (-8,-8) and (-7,9) then the equation will become

y-(-8)=(9-(-8))/(-7-(-8)) {x-(-8)}

i.e, y+8=17(x+8)

i.e, y -17x =128
