in DNA replication, MRNA copies the DNA into the nucleus and RRNA goes into the ribosome where proteins are made. TRNA matches up with the RRNA and makes polymers. This is called protein synthesis

DNA is not catalytic so, as it is only a recipe for proteins, it needs proteinsto carry out all the catalytic functions, such as replication. Also DNA needs tohave its enormous length wrapped around many histone proteins. RNA is catalyticthough.
