Since he USES 4/9th of the dough, what is left is 1-4/9=9/9-4/9=5/9 In math, the word 'of' can translate to 'multiplied by' therefore 5/9 OF the 5pounds of douch left can translate to: 5/9*5=25/9 pounds of dough left (about 2.7 pounds)
