Step 1: find the slope using the slope formula m = (y2-y1) / (x2-x1)

(2, -4) means 2 is your x1 and -4 is your y1

(0, -4) means 0 is your x2 and -4 is your y2

(y2-y1) = -4 - (-4) = -4 + 4 = 0

(x2-x1) = 0 - 2 = -2

0/-2 = slope of 0

Plug slope and one point into point-slope formula y-y1 = m(x - x1)

y - (-4) = 0(x - 0)
y + 4 = 0
y = -4

You have a horizontal line going through the point (0, -4)
