A cone has a base area of 20 m and a volume of 160 m. Find the height of the cone​

Given:

Base area of cone =20 m²

Volume of the cone = 160 m³

To find:

The height of the cone.

Solution:

We know that, the volume of a cone is

[tex]V=\dfrac{1}{3}Bh[/tex]

Where, B is the base area and h is the height of the cone.

Putting V=160 and B=20, we get

[tex]160=\dfrac{1}{3}(20)h[/tex]

[tex]480=20h[/tex]

[tex]\dfrac{480}{20}=h[/tex]

[tex]24=h[/tex]

Therefore, the height of the cone is 24 m.
