(x+6)^2 + y^2 = 1 then isolate y^2  by subtracting (x +6)^2 from both sides, we get

               

                y^2 = 1 - (x + 6)^2

expanding the right side, we now have

                y^2 = 1-(x^2 + 12x +36)

          y^2 = 1-x^2-12x -36

          y^2 = -x^2 -12x - 35  therefore the solution is  choice A
