72km/hr

= 72× 1000m/1×60×60 sec

= 72000m/ 3600sec

=20m/s

0.5 m

= 0.5×60 sec

= 30 sec

Now,

acceleration = v-u/t

= 40m/s-20m/s divided by 30 sec

= 20m/s divided by 30 sec

= 0.6m/s2
