Five mL of ethanol has a mass of 3.9 grams and 5.0 mL of benzene has a mass of 44 grams. Which liquid is denser?

Answer:  Benzene

Explanation:

Density = Mass / Volume

Denisty of Ethanol = 3.9 g / 5.0 mL

                               = 0.78 g/mL

Density of Benzene = 44 g / 5.0 mL

                                 = 8.8 g/mL

∴ Benzene is Denser.
