The velocity with which the skier passes the 100 m mark is 44.3 m/s

What is the velocity?

Velocity is the rate of change of position with time. Now we know that;

v^2 = u^2 + 2gh

But u = 0 m/s because the skier dropped from a height hence we can write;

v = 2gh

Thus;

v^2 = 2 * 9.8 m/s^2 * 100 m

v  = √1960 m/s

V = 44.3 m/s
