[tex]3g-23k = 75 2g = 8k+28[/tex]

we can start by simplifying the second equation

[tex]2g = 8k + 28 \\ \frac{2g}{2} = \frac{8k+28}{2} \\ g = 4k+14 [/tex]

now insert g into the first equation and simplify

[tex]3(4k+14) - 23k = 75 \\ 12k + 42 - 23k = 75 \\ -11k + 42 = 75 \\ -11k = 33 \\ k = -3[/tex]

[tex]g = 4k +14 \\ g = 4(-3) +14 \\ g = -12 + 14 \\ g = 2[/tex]

Therefor g = 2, k = -3
