The given coordinates : ( 5, 5 ) & ( 11, 3 )

The expression for the mid point is :

[tex]x=\frac{x_1+x_2}{2},\text{ y=}\frac{y_1+y_2}{2}[/tex]

Substitute the value of coordinates as :

[tex]\begin{gathered} x_1=5,y_1=5,x_2=11,y_2=3 \\ x=\frac{5+11}{2} \\ x=\frac{16}{2} \\ x=8 \\ y=\frac{5+3}{2} \\ y=\frac{8}{2} \\ y=4 \end{gathered}[/tex]

So, the mid point between (5, 5) & (11, 3) is ( 8, 4)
