Change in the initial and final water level, display of pressure on the pressure gauge, tiny droplets of water on the leaf, the low osmolarity of water inside the roots, all are the indicators of upward movement of water due to root pressure. Difference in osmolarity causes tension in xylem, which absorbs water and forces it upwards,
