158, because to solve this question we first need to know the formula for finding the surface area of a rectangular prism which is A=2(wl+hl+hw) then you just need to input the numbers like so A=2(5*3+8*3+8*5) then when you simplify this down you get A=2(79) then distribute like so so A=158
