Answer:  The vertical asymptote is:  x = -5 .

           Note that "x" cannot equal "-5" ;  since the "denominator is:  "(x+5)" ; and you cannot divide by "0" ; and when "x = -5" ;
           the denominator is "x + 5 = -5 + 5 = 0 " .
