why do people shiver when they listen to music?

It is also called frisson.

This happens when an elements of music such as sudden volume changes or unexpected unique sections which induces sub-conscience fear response. This fear subsides fast after the brain realizes its just music.

People shiver when they listen to music because it starts with a slow,calm tune and then all of the sudden there is a strong tune.And you never expected it.➡
