simplify the expression 4y - 1 - 3y + 2

okay, so basically all you need to do is combine like terms!
in this case, 4y and -3y are like terms... and -1 and 2 are like terms
so, 4y - 3y is 1y or y
and -1 + 2 is 1

so your simplified answer is y + 1
