A container has a capacity of 3 liters. It contains 1 3/4 liters of water. How much more water is needed to fill the container? Plz explain and show how!! Thank you in advance!! :)

2 1/4 liters. If it holds 3, and it already has 1 3/4, then all you need to do is subtract 1 3/4 from 3 to get your answer, 2 1/4 liters.
