Larger Number + Smaller Number = 39
Larger Number = S + 17
Smaller Number = S

S + 17 + S = 39
2S + 17 = 39
2S = 39 - 17
2S = 22
S = 22/2
S = 11

Larger Number is S + 17
Larger Number is 11 + 17

Larger Number is 28
Smaller Number is 11
