In a sale, there is 50% off all prices. A chair costs £17.50 in the sale. How much was it before the sale?

£17.50 is 50% of what number
Now the same in math:
£17.50 = .50 x n pr £17.50 = .5n
Divide both sides by .5
n= £ 35
