Back in Britain, they had specific religions that the people had to follow in order to live there. Of course, many people did not believe in the religions that the King/Queen wanted, or they believed in something else. As you would imagine, the religion would change once in awhile. Eventually, the People wanted their own land with their own religious beliefs, so they went out to find the new land, and settle there, and create the 13 colonies. The beginning of The United States.
