Because the triangle  is isosceles the 2 base angles are equal  so adding up all the angles:-

2 (x - 2) + 4x + 10 = 180
2x - 4 + 4x + 10 = 180
6x = 180 + 4 - 10
6x = 174
x = 29 

3y  + (x - 2) = 180       Adjacent angles so
3y + 29 - 2 = 180
3y =  153

y =   51
