Factors that determine sound intensity are amplitude and the distance.

Amplitude
Amplitude depends on the starting energy
of the sound wave. If the amplitude is high then the intensity will be high.

Distance
Distance is the measure of how far does the sound wave travel from its source. If the distance is high then the intensity will be low.
