we have that

1/5x+8=3/4

step 1
multiply  by 5 all expression
5*[(1/5)x+8]=5*[3/4]
(5/5)x+40=15/4
x+40=15/4

step 2
multiply  by 4 all expression
4*[x+40]=4*15/4
4x+160=15

the answer is
4x+160=15
