So it'll be simpler to process. They use "On" (1) and "Off" (0) to convey everything from webpages to Videogames; Like in symbols / characters on a computer they use binary through ascii numbers such as A which is 00000001 or ? which is 00111111. this basically allows for computers to communicate in a simpler way in just using On/Off or 1's and 0's.
