Ferritin is a intracelluar protein that stores iron. Ferritin is found in hemoglobin that aids in the function of metabolism. 
Glycogen is a carbohydrate that consists of glycogen that can be hydrolyzed when needed.

Both Ferritin and Glycogen function by storing the needed materials for the organism such as Human beings
